International Student Accommodation
Home away from Home is an international accommodation for students located in the town centre of Bournemouth. It provides places for 50% international students and 50% local students. This helps the international students get settled into their new surroundings and encourages the locals and internationals to mix.
The building has a communal ground floor with a restaurant and a lounge area and a rooftop area with a vegetable garden and a greenhouse with vegetables that are used in the restaurant. It also includes a study floor that has group study pods, computers and an open study space. Students of en lack the motivation to exercise while studying so I added a gym that is also open to the public which adds more revenue to the building. The student apartments and bedrooms are located on floors 02-06, with all floors including, studio apartments, en-suite rooms with a communal kitchen and a one-bedroom apartment that is wheelchair accessible. One of the one-bedroom apartments is also available for the student's family members and friends to rent out for short periods of time.
